Waterproof fabric from rainwear or tent

Help! My rain gear makes me wet! If the fabric of the rainwear or the camping tent lets in too much moisture, impregnation with colorless silicone grout will help! Much better than impregnation spray.

Wear rubber gloves! Take an old dry sponge, apply a little bit of silicone compound, as used in the bathroom and in the kitchen to seal the edges, on this sponge - be very economical! - and work them with strength and patience into the fabric, so that it is coated very thin with it.

It stinks and sticks, so you do that with good ventilation. After a few days, this layer is completely dried, feels a bit rubbery and water now bubbles off completely.

Does it breathe? I do not know, probably a little.

Incidentally, you can also use the method waterproof wallpaper in the bathroom. Maybe you should take a little more paste.

Have fun even in rainy summers!
