Food and drinks that stimulate the metabolism

Above all, hot and sour foods and spices stimulate the metabolism, eg. Garlic, chili, horseradish, pepper, ginger, pepperoni, as well as citrus fruits, lemon juice and vinegar.

So it's good to spice up salads and low-fat dips vigorously. But do not overdo it because the stomach is often overstrained with too much acidity or sharpness.

Green tea and mate tea support fat loss. However, they contain relatively much caffeine and should therefore not be drunk in the evening.

Here's another tip from a friend:
Fill a jug with still water, add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and a piece of ginger. Swallow drink throughout the day. It's also a refreshing drink for hot summer days.

Or you can make lemon tea, preferably with fresh lemon juice, or season black tea with lemon.
