Make caramel syrup yourself
Caramel syrup tastes delicious in coffee - especially ice coffee, milkshakes and wherever else you can think of it.
Bought it is expensive, to make yourself need only sugar and water!
Recipe for about 200-250 ml
- Melt 200 g of sugar in a saucepan over medium heat with stirring until a clear, golden brown liquid has formed.
- Carefully pour 250 ml of water - Attention, the sugar is now extremely hot, pour slowly, otherwise you scald yourself at the rising water vapor!
- Due to the cooler water, the sugar has now become a tough caramel lump - bring to a boil while stirring until it has dissolved in the water.
- Then simmer for about ten minutes over low heat, pour the syrup into a glass bottle and store in the refrigerator until use.
Holds there for several months. Enough time to get creative and invent new desserts, cocktails, etc.!
