Sandbild: Attach shells to paper / cardboard
For a sand picture (paper / cardboard) mussels should always be "fixed" on the ground:
Since their edge is too narrow to be glued to it, I stuck a lump of cotton into the inside of the shell, which protrudes clearly above the shell edge and leaves it to dry.
Then turn the shell, brush the cotton lump on its "open" surface with Bastelleim and press this area on the paper: The now inside cotton wool is pressed together during the gluing process, so that nothing can break from the shell material.
