Small Krebbelcher
500g flour
100g sugar
1 p. Vanilla sugar
1 pinch of cinnamon
30g soft butter
1/2 bag of dry yeast
3 eggs
germ oil
1 tbsp rum
powdered sugar
500g of flour, the butter, sugar, yeast, rum and vanilla sugar, eggs and cinnamon to a firm dough.
From the dough, form rolls, cut the rolls into small pieces, and from the pieces make roughly plum-sized balls.
Heat plenty of oil and let the balls turn golden brown.
In between times turn with a skimmer.
Remove from the fat, drain on kitchen paper, dust with powdered sugar at the end.
My mother always liked to make these goodies during carnival time.
(Please do not forget: with a small piece of bread to check if the oil is hot enough.)
