With the stroller on the escalator

How to safely and with little effort with the stroller on the escalator "drives".

Dear parents, lately I hear more and more of bad accidents on escalators. The unfortunate, while the stroller slipped out of hand, as she wanted to drive down the escalator with the stroller.

Would not more people have been on the escalator, God knows how bad it would have ended then! And even today I see mum or daddy every day, who sometimes take daredevil positions to get the stroller down or up.

I suppose driving up is not a problem for most people. You push the stroller onto the escalator, no matter if you have a 3 or 4 wheel, and secure it with your own body before rolling it down. It is, especially in 3-wheels, the emphasis of the stroller on the rear wheels. These should rest on the escalator step and the stroller should be held. The parking brake must be left off for safety reasons (leaving the escalator)!

But driving down is not so easy for many people to do. Many enter with the stroller first the escalator and then in bent position or half floating buggy (security risk high 10 !!) Down!

That's why my tip for this:

You turn around with the stroller, so that the adult FIRST and backward enters the escalator and pulls the stroller behind. Secured is just as at startup.

The advantage of this is that you can protect the stroller from falling down and even if rushing passers-by at a rush, can not be so easily unbalanced! At the end of the escalator, a step backwards and then elegantly turned back. Arrived safely! Spared your back!
