Apple and cinnamon crunchies (breakfast recipe)

ingredients

  • 1 kg wholegrain oatmeal
  • 125 g coconut flakes
  • 250 g finely grated nuts (for example almonds, peanuts or hazelnuts)
  • 125 g of sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Mix these ingredients in a large bowl.

  • 125 ml of honey
  • 80 ml vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar

preparation

  1. Mix honey, sugar and oil and add to the flake / nut mixture. Mix everything thoroughly.
  2. Spread on two large greased baking sheets and bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 175 ° C (with preheating), stirring occasionally.
  3. Then add: 200 to 250 g of finely chopped dried apples (available as apple rings, for example).
  4. Store in well-closed containers in the refrigerator.
  5. The crunchies can be eaten alone or with milk.
