Puff pastry olive sticks with herbs

These delicious puff pastry sticks with olives and herbs were in our community on the World Day of Prayer for Women. This year it was Egypt's turn and these bars were a tasty snack that I would not want to withhold from you.

ingredients

  • 100 g black olives
  • 1 bunch of spring onions, smooth parsley and dill
  • some fresh mint (to taste)
  • 5 toes of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin and hot paprika powder
  • 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • Salt at will
  • 1 egg / 1 egg yolk
  • black sesame seeds
  • 4 plates of frozen puff pastry

preparation

  1. Lay the dough pieces next to each other for thawing.
  2. If necessary, pitted the olives or buy them without them
  3. Cut the spring onion and garlic cloves into large pieces.
  4. Wash and dry the herbs, remove from the stems. Crush these ingredients with the blender. Add salt, egg and breadcrumbs and mix well.
  5. Place 2 dough pieces on top of each other and roll out to equal size rectangles (baking sheet size). Place the first plate on the worktop, spread the olive paste on it and place the second plate on top. Roll it over with the baking roll and squeeze everything together.
  6. Cut the dough into 2 cm wide and 10 cm long strips or cycle and place on a baking sheet (with baking paper). Brush with the beaten egg yolk and sprinkle with the black sesame seeds.
  7. Approximately Bake for 20 minutes at approximately 160 degrees with convection oven until the bars are lightly browned.
  8. It tastes of a yogurt dip with cucumber, mint, salt and pepper (garlic does not necessarily have to be)
  9. Tasty as a party snack to wine and beer, but also oriental spiced tea tastes great.
